iReport Debate: What’s your top issue?

    More from opini

Give us this Day the right person to vote for.

What is my main concern on Earth Day? Earth Week, Earth Month, Earth Year, Earth Decade, Earth Century.

What is the greatest underlying concern for earthlings? Atom bombs, terrorists, economy, wars, political idiocy? The last if you want to tackle the greatest concern that can erupt to impact our children, grand children and theirs.

If you're old enough to have been there for the first Earth Day in 1970, you can see how much further and how much faster we have to go to combat pollution caused by population-exploding demands on energy and natural resources.

Politics, especially election-driven politicians, afraid to turn off their base with too much emphasis on this don't give us a real clue as to who would listen to our Earth Alarm vote.

So dig beyond the election-war TV ads and vote for someone red, blue, independent or green who can give us our best possible hope to remedy the 2012 and beyond most alarming concern on Earth.
