    Amazing Anilao: Macro Haven

    Barely a two hour drive from Manila is the seaside town of Anilao, Batangas. This place has been hailed as a favorite weekend dive spot for most city dwellers because of its easy access and variety.

    Anilao has been hailed globally as the world's capital of macro life and pygmy seahorses such as this one ((Hippocampus bargibanti) can be found as shallow as 40ft.

    A pygmy seahorse is a fascinating creature. It is as small as half a grain of rice and mimics the appearance of the fan corals it lives in.
