    The Ron Clark Academy and Promethean Urges You to Thank a Teacher!

     

    Thank a Teacher Contest Celebrates Great Teachers

     

    ATLANTA, GA (April 16, 2012) –The Ron Clark Academy (RCA) and Promethean, a global education company, announce Thank a Teacher contest to celebrate great teachers.
    Anyone in the contiguous United States can nominate an educator that has made or is making a difference in the lives of students. The organizations are looking for stories about teachers who are passionate about their jobs and have helped students excel.


    Nomination Criteria:
    o 1) An Essay (100 words or less) describing why this teacher should be honored.
    o 2) A photo of the teacher.
    o 3) Teacher contact information (phone and email).
    • Submit your nomination via email: ThankATeacher@PrometheanWorld.com
    • Deadline for nominations is April 26th.
    • Teachers may only be nominated once.
    • Nominations to Thank A Teacher will be accepted from US citizens – students must be over the age of 13. If under the age of 13, then a parent or guardian may submit on the students’ behalf.

     

    The winner will receive a two-day, all expense paid trip to attend the RCA Educator Training Program and will be recognized on Promethean Planet. Representatives from RCA and Promethean will decide winners. Nominated photos and essays will be posted online at:

    Winners will be announced on Tuesday, May 8th (National Teacher Appreciation day) during Teacher Appreciation week, May 7 – 11, 2012.
