Snowy Owls are back at Bounday Bay

After an absence of 6 years the Snowy Owls are back at Boundary Bay to the enchantment of a lot of people. Around 50 showed up on the shores of Boundary Bay causing an influx of curious visitors and photographers.
A shortage of food on the tundra forced them to migrate down South and fly for thousands of miles to our shores. Many died during this ordeal, and the ones that made it were emaciated and weak. Now, after many month of rest and good eating, they started flying back home up North.
I took many shots of them, this one I think, is a cute one that I would like to share with the world. It is of a male Snowy Owl yawning.
