Great Blue Herons nesting

This is the time of year where Herons start building their nest. At the Tatsu Shores in Delta, a Heronry is buzzing with activity, Herons are now in the process of building their nests causing, of course, lots of commotion, noise and fights for territory.
Soon they will start fishing on the shores nearby, they catch huge bottom fish and swallow them whole, accidents do happen, some get their fish stuck in their throats and die of suffocation.
I took this shot of one of them carrying a small twig to line up his nest at sundown.
