    Cheyenne tries out her new prosthetic leg

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     adrian1125 shared this video shot on April 21 of Cheyenne, a disabled horse who has been fitted with a prosthetic leg, enjoying a new lease on life on her ranch in Lyden, New Mexico. 'It's always great to see her kick up her heels on the crisp spring mornings, like any other horse,' he said. 'We are obviously animal lovers and want the world of horse lovers to know that there is alternatives to putting down a loved pet. Yes, it has been expensive, but well worth doing to see our loved Cheyenne living out a wonderful horse's life.'

    Cheyenne was the second horse in the United States to get a prosthetic leg. Today she recieved her new prosthetic replacement leg in 31/2 years. Many thanks to Hanger Prosthetics in Santa Fe who incorporated Winters Gel cushion liner (of dolphin tail) in Cheyennes' newly designed prosthetic leg. Her dads Jim & Adrian are thrilled and grateful that it was a perfect fit and Cheyenne adapted immediately.
