    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Shelagal shared her thoughts on why LGBTQ equality is her top issue in the 2012 U.S. elections. 'I believe that everyone deserves to be treated like a human being. One type of love shouldn't be valued more than another,' she said. 'I would like to see DOMA repealed, and then the legalization nationwide of same-sex marriage, allowing churches and religious institutions to decide whether or no they want to marry same-sex couples so they have a choice. I think their marriage and love should be recognized no matter what state they're in.'

    Hi, my name is Jean, I have many friends who are gay and bisexual and I wonder, why are they not fit to get married? Do they not love, are they not human? What if we don't force a church to marry them, but instead ask one that will if we make it legal? I know this isn't the most important topic at this time, but I feel it should be heard too.
