Last year I came upon this sleepy Sandhill Crane, it had it's head tucked in between it's wings at the back, I walked real slow to get closer, and he/she opened one eye to see who the intruder was.
Lucky for me that I was ready for this, and fired away a couple of shots.
This image has been shown a lot, in the French gallery in Vancouver, B.C. and in particular in the Reifel monthly Magazine, it caught the eye of a member who bought it from me as a 3ftx3ft enlargement on metallic paper.
I am having it redone frameless on transmount and metallic paper for myself this year.
It's a captivating image, the look that this Sandhill Carne gave me was so piercing!
I am thinking of submitting it to a Gallery in Vancouver this year.
