    Free Tibet Demonstration in Warsaw

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Marcin80 shot this video of an April 26 "Free Tibet" rally in the central square of Warsaw, Poland. 'In Poland there is a long-lasting tradition of supporting nations that fight for liberation which can be traced back to the times when Poles were defeated in their struggle for independence in XVIII century and started to fight for freedom of other nations round the world including the American War of Independence,' he said. 'To many Poles, Chinese occupation of Tibet is by no means different from any brutal and bloody conquest. We know a bit about Tibetan suffering and Chinese atrocities are common knowledge among educated people here.'

    I send a video showing a demonstration for Free Tibet organised by Tibetans and their Polish friends . It was filmed at noon in Warsaw's Old Town and it was accompanying the visit of Chinese prime minister who was took part in a meeting with Polish authorities near the place where the video was shot. On the right you can see Warsaw's Royal Palace rebuilt after WW II (film number 1)
