The Crossing - Immigration in the Sonoran desert
Crossing the Sonoran Desert, within a mile of the United States/Mexico border, my thoughts drifted back and forth between the stark, lonesome beauty this desert is known for and the realization that humans, for hundreds of years, have been crossing its almost completely barren and waterless landscape in search of a better life.
“The Crossing” is a photo essay illustrating a three day journey taken with a friend of mine and encounters with not only the desert but with the Border Patrol there to monitor it and those who attempted to cross it illegally.
