The Lambak Festival at the Igorot Village in Cainta Rizal (10 minutes away from Metro Manila) takes place every February and is unknown to most people in the Philippines. In the 1940s a group of Igorots moved from Mountain Province (Central Luzon) to Manila to find jobs and a better a life. Settling in Cainta Rizal, they own about 14 hectares of land, joined by more Igorots through the years. The small village known as the Igorot Bilig. Not forgetting their culture and heritage, the Lambak Festival is a celebration of Igorot culture and traditions, which they continue to practice and pass on to their children.
