Cycle for Joplin - Morning Express Wake Up

On Sunday, April 29th, 2012, Joplin Expats President Todd Greene and Central Park Fitness Founder Dave duCille will bicycle 1,500 miles from New York City to Joplin, Missouri … in just 20 days. All this to commemorate the one-year anniversary of Joplin’s horrific May 22nd, 2011 tornado.

They’ll be attempting to raise enough money to provide free storm shelters to 20 Joplin families. But they’ll also be symbolically thanking the 120,000 volunteers and expats from all over the country who have given their time and money to Joplin since that fateful day last year.

By cycling through Tornado Alley during the peak of tornado season and raising money for tornado victims, Cycle for Joplin will raise awareness of Joplin’s progress since the storm. It will also raise enough money to provide peace of mind to Joplin families currently without shelter.

But it can’t be done without help! Click for more information on how to sponsor or donate to the cause, or email cycleforjoplin@joplinexpats.org.
