    Gay Republican?

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     NewsFreak78, a self-described gay member of the GOP, shared his thoughts on why he believes his party needs to make more of an effort to be inclusive towards the LGBTQ community. 'I would like to see the GOP stop using religion as part of their platform to run,' he said. 'I would like to see the GOP embrace diversity and uphold their conservative ideals to their country and economy.'
    - jmsaba, CNN iReport producer

There needs to be a split with the republican party. I'm a conservative guy. I want less government, own my own gun and be independent. Sounds great but when I tell you I'm gay it 's a bit of a conundrum.
