Western NY says Legalize!
- jmsaba, CNN iReport producer
Hello, my name is Frank from Buffalo NY.
I am going to keep this short to start.
I am a cannabis activist.
Weed, pot, marijuana, or my personal favorite slang Ganja simply because it sounds awesome. No matter what you call it, It is a miracle plant.
I find something new about it every single day.
I am not a ‘pothead’ in fact this past Friday was the first time I smoked in 2 weeks. As you can see, other than a slightly stuffy nose from seasonal allergies I’m totally fine. No withdraw symptoms, I’m not in agonizing pain nor do I feel a need to ‘get a fix’. I have ADHD and take Adderal for those symptoms; I also have a rare form of Esophagitis. I have had 3 throat dilations, and I used to take Flovent prescribed by my doctor. I stopped taking that and started using Cannabis recreationally. Now, 5 years later I know much more about the plant and I am on a mission to learn as much as I possibly can. I am actively promoting NYS senate bill S 2774 to pass medical marijuana for the state and you bet I’ll be one of the first to be applying for a medical card. I feel as a United States citizen it is my entitlement, my right to be able to use cannabis not just as a medicine but also for whatever reason I see fit. I’m sick of the lies, I’m sick of the hypocrisy. I SMOKE MARIJUANA and I have every right to say that out loud. Cannabis is my passion; I love everything about the plant. Follow me on CNN’s iReport for interesting news and facts as well as video and text responses to all sorts of news stories on the topic, especially ones that are of course broadcasted by CNN. Thank you for watching and have a fantastic day
