    LA Beaches

    The best thing about LA are the glorious sandy beaches! The drive to the beach is only twenty miles from the heart of LA's metroplex. There are several beaches to choose from but my favorite is Manhattan Beach. The name came from so many New Yorkers moving to LA. The city planners were very insightful because they built an airport called LAX so close to Manhattan Beach, now it is a very desirable place to live because it is a short drive to catch your plane. The homes along the beach are unique and have a relaxed atmosphere. I watched Gidget as a child so the beach life has always appealed to me. Surfers are still trying to catch the perfect wave.
