    'Spaceport' New Zealand

    This is stunning architecture.

     

    If you like 1950s sci-fi then you won't miss being appreciative of what you see here.

     

    Taken at the Britomart Train Hub (Auckland, New Zealand) - these pictures are reminiscent of the gleaming metallic dreams of scientific visionaries prior to the space race of the 1960s. Atomic nuclei, UFOs, ray guns, metal domes, flying cars, MIBs etc - any young at heart bloke will not fail recognizing.

     

    You'll find it strange though that old diesel clunkers are what still run on these tracks. But we're working on it - electric trains by the end of the year !
