President Obama Should Tout His Military Successes

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     EWillies1961 shared his thoughts on the recent push by President Obama to make the killing of Osama bin Laden a central plank of his reelection campaign. 'There is a lot of difference between 2004 when Bush touted his military success versus President Obama doing it now,' he said. 'Bush really had no success. His was all a fantasy ginned up by Fox News and the GOP and summarily picked up by the networks as they though they needed to. In the case of the President, his success is real. Osama is dead. There is no more combat in Iraq.'
    - jmsaba, CNN iReport producer

For decades the Republicans have been touting their military prowess inasmuch as 9/11 occurred on their watch mostly because of ineptitude throughout the chain of command in the White House. Now they are calling foul because the President is touting his success. His has been substantive, theirs a sequence of blunders over the last several years of the Bush administration.

Romney has been methodically attempting to discredit the president's foreign policy accomplishments. Should he simple accept the criticism? NO. A strong offense beats any defense every time in politics.
