    City smackdown: Los Angeles love

    More from MarieSager

LA the Melting Pot of the USA

So many reasons to love LA, the weather, the mountains that supply LA with a beautiful backdrop, the MIX of people making LA the Melting Pot of the USA. It's all here. You can ski in the nearby mountains and swim in the ocean all in the same day!

We have the LAKERS and DODGERS, that keep downtown hopping.  Affordable restaurants and tasty deli's. Chinatown, Olvera Street and Little Tokyo that reside in the downtown area.  The Garmet District, the Flower District and the downtown Marketplace always worth a visit.

As we travel down Wilshire Boulevard, we have the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the La Brea Tar Pits.  To the North of the City we have The Griffith Park Observatory with a view of the city lights at night that can't be missed.  Also, Griffith Park which houses the Los Angeles Zoo.

Unlike New York City, Los Angeles is spread out, so Town Hall is continually working on expanding it's roads and public transit systems.  The subways make it easy to weave around the city, so we can easily access downtown.

Los Angeles is a city reinventing itself, we are a work in progress.
