City smackdown: Los Angeles love
I Love LA...We Love It! LA VS NYC...Winning!
Singer songwriter Randy Newman said it best in his 1983 hit tune about his love for LA, "I Love LA". We could not agree more, but what is the No 1 difference between LA and New York?
It's a no brainier man...The weather, dude! We are one of only three areas of the world that have a Mediterranean climate.
Our weather is characterized by warm, dry summers and mild to cool, wet winters. With our unique geography, we can go from the desert to the sea in 1.5 hours. Yes, I have surfed and skied on the same day!
Following closely in second place is our sports teams. For example, as this story is written, we have three teams in the playoffs: The Lakers, The Kings, and the Clippers. And who is the best team in baseball this year? That would be our Dodgers, of course! Say what Big Apple?
The feeling is laid back while you cruise down Sunset Blvd and dig on the Celebrities, the rents are way lower then NYC, and we all know about those California Girls!
Los Angeles is the entertainment capital of the world, from the Hollywood film industry to all of the great concerts and clubs, we beat Manhattan hands down! And those Hollywood nights, those Hollywood hills...
From the beaches, to the mountains, to the deserts, to the sea...Can NYC have a chance to beat me?
NOT! So, come all ye New Yorkers to The City Of Angels...But please go back home after your visit - we already have over 12 million residents...Not counting The IE and The OC!
Century Boulevard, Victory Boulevard, Santa Monica Boulevard, Imperial Highway, 6th Street, and the Ventura Highway...we have been celebrated in Pop Music from America to The Beach Boys...
We Love LA...We Love It!
