No, I'm not a Christmas baby...
My name is Noelle. I think that it's simple enough but I am mostly commonly referred to as "Nicole". This has been my problem all through life. I have grown tired of correcting people and sometimes just answer to that. If I know the person well enough, I'll make a joke out of it or mispronounce their name and it helps to clear it up. People typically ask if I was born on Christmas, too which I say, "No, I'm a March baby". I was not born on Christmas. My older brother was born in December but turned out to be a boy so they kept the name on reserve.
I like my name. I think it's unique enough to make me stand out, but not too unique. I've had people really botch it up though with the following pronunciations: "No-eely", "Nollie", "Knoll", "No-elle-ie", and many others.
Overall, I think my name suits me and I am proud of it.
