    May Day in Paris

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Ouestbrouq shot this video of May Day street protests in Paris, France, ahead of this week's contentious presidential election in the country. 'The dominant theme appeared to be an all-encompassing disdain for the incumbent president and a proprietary reclamation of the May Day festival itself,' he said.

    Impressions of the annual "Fête du Travail", recorded in Paris between the Bastille and the Luxembourg Gardens on the afternoon of May 1st 2012. Atmosphere relaxed and festive, although more politically charged than usual due to the imminent May 6th presidential election.
