    Military kids get up close and personal with Army Equipment at Fort Polk's Cajun Fest.

    Penelope Barrow, a dual branch military child, gets up close and personal with U.S. Military weapons.

    While supervised by soldiers, her military parents and teddy as a spotter, she learns to hold a M429 "Saw" Machine Gun.

    One of the benefits of growing up around the military is learning what equipment is, and how it is used.

    At Cajun Fest, an annual event held at Fort Polk, there are many weapons, military equipment, and vehicles on display with soldiers on hand to explain what they are, and used for.
