I've actually never thought of my name's effect on any person before. This assignment made me think about it.

I needed to ask a couple of people what impression they have on my name before I was able to arrive with my own.

One said, 'Strong...a boss." and the other said, "Classic."

I don't actually adhere to an established set of rules or standards. Perhaps of the highest class? A model?

Nah! Not classic. (cackle)

Strong? Hmmm...maybe since I have a mannish walk, movement and way of speaking.

Boss - I'm not. Although some people may think I act like one.

My name, Veronica, is Latin of the name Berenice, which is Greek.

'Pheron' (to bring) and 'Nike' (victory).

Aaaahhh. So now I know why the proprietor of the Nike company chose that name.

Veronica means "She who brings victory." or "Bearer of victory".

Yes, I am Veronica. I can say I have triumphed over the struggles and challenges of some feuds and conflict - some of the battles of life. And I will continue to brave and endure the fight.
