Figaro, Figaro !!!
In 1991 and "only" 1991 Nissan built the unique looking "Figaro" for the local Japanese market. Considering the car never made it past that one year alone I guess it would be judged a failure but not according to owner Randy Lum of Vancouver who has lovingly found and restored 5 of them over the last 6 years and counting.
Uniquely the Figaro was built quite heavy in order for it to feature extra safety. That came at the expense of low turbo charged mileage in its 1,000cc motor.
Randy drives a different one every day according to his colour mood. Each one features the name of his Sushi restaurant "The Eatery" which turns out to be a good marketing idea because with 5 of them parked in front of the restaurant who wouldn't stop to take a look and a bite!
No word on how many more his girlfriend will put up with.
