Leadership Memphis Honors Stand For Children 2012

    Dear Nicholas,

Thanks to your dedication to improving public schools in our community, Memphis Stand for Children was awarded Leadership Memphis' 2012 Community Champion of the Year award this past Tuesday. We want to share the recognition with you and thank you for making our organization a champion of the community.

Leadership Memphis' vision is to build a great Memphis by building great leaders. Read more about their work here. We would like to thank the board of Leadership Memphis for recognizing your work and for recognizing us for this award. We were also honored to be recognized along with Elliot Perry, who tells the story of education in Memphis through his Education Champions organization.

Read more about the award along with excerpts from Director Mark Sturgis' acceptance speech here and look through Leadership Memphis' photos from the event here.

With the TPC gearing up to make its final recommendations for the Unified School District, it is important now more than ever to stay committed to better education in our community. Text VOTETN to 69866 now* to stay informed and be sure to tell your friends to do the same.

    Standing with you,

The Memphis Stand for Children Team
