Tomorrow a demonstration will take place at the Freedom square. The Court building next to the square, now called 'the Freedom Building' or MAKEMA has been a make shift museum as a hommage to those who gave their lives for the freedom of Libya in the Revolution of 17th of February 2011. Many people visit the place to see the unique collection of hundreds of photographs of their 'Martyrs'.
The plan is to make the Makema into a permanent musuem as THE symbol of the history of the Revolution.
The people who used to work there under Ghadaffi now want to take it back to use it as a courthouse again.
They want the hundreds of photographs taken off the walls tomorrow. If this happens the mothers and other family members of the deceased revolutionaries will be outraged. We are initiating a demonstration for tomorrow in an attempt to keep this from happening or at least postphone such a radical plan and expecting a large crowd to attend.
