    New Yorkers are like ghosts. You catch a fleeting glimpse of one and seconds later they disappear. Forever. Into a door, underground, or into a cab. Never in the same spot for more than a few seconds. Always on the move, never resting, the loneliness forgotten because you have somewhere to get to. Can't stop, gotta go.
