Pink Floyd, "Money" and my Yard Sale Score.
So I went to my community's annual Yard Sale today at the Fairgrounds and I found a big box of record albums. I noticed a few classics as I flipped through them and I checked for condition and they appeared to be in excellent shape. They were priced at .50 each or 3/$1.00. I didn't want to flip through them all. There were a lot. So I asked the guy what he wanted for all of them. He asked me what I'd give him. I hemmed and hawed. I said I really didn't want them all. He said "How about $20?" I said "Sold."
I took them home and counted them. I counted exactly 200! That's not counting double albums. There are some hard rocking albums like Ted Nugent and REO Speedwagon and there are some soft rock albums like Olivia Newton John and Jim Croce. There are a lot of New Wave and hair band albums from the 80's. There are also some classics from the 70's like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd The Who, and the Beatles.
I put on the song "Money" and tried to flip through all the albums before the song ended. I made it!
