Size Reducing Size of Gov't
The President and Congress should review the missions of every Gov't agency and see if their mission is still critical or need to be modified or combined with other Federal Agencies. Once this is accomplished, the Federal Gov't employee numbers should be reduced by attrition. Also, when a freeze on Federal Gov't hiring is established, it should also include freezes on Pay scales. What normally happens is that when a reduction in number of positions occur, they eliminate the lowest pay grade and then keep the higher pay position. Also, the Federal Gov't needs to stop paying its employees to ride mass transit, ie metro, car pools etc. No other employee does this. IF they cannot eliminate this then they should at least TAX it like they tax my Social Security.
