What makes your Mother's Day special?
I love you Ammi...
My Mother is no longer with me now, but I want to remember her, especially so as her Death Anniversary falls in the month of May, which is the 22nd of this month.
My mother was the most kindest person on earth... she had all grace and beauty, and wisdom all rolled into one!!! I was the apple of her eye, and she did everything for me. and lived for me after the death of my father.
When she was in hospital in May...8th I sort of knew that I would not see her again, and since her Birthday was in June, I got her an early Card and took it with me to the hospital. I remember she was so happy to have it and stood it on the beside table besides her so that she could look at it from time to time.I don't have that card now... I can't seem to locate it, but I do have the last Birthday Card that she gave me in the same year.
She was always a cool, calm and collected person always ready to give a patient hearing to whatever story that you had to tell her. She always gave me the best of advice that she could, and always told me to take the good of my parents.. and never the bad.
My Mother was an excellent cook, and great cake maker, as well as a good seamstress, she used sew all my dresses for me right upto the time of when she could no longer do it, she was a keen gardener and kept a beautiful garden and house. Was also a very good writer and kept anyone reading her letters in fits of giggles.
So Mother's Day is very special for me, cos I lost my Mum in the Gloomy month of May... and my nostalgic wish for Mother's Day is if I could only turn back the clock... just to see her and hear say... Shari, my darling daughter...
But today I will look up at the skies and see a bird fly and that special Rainbow which will keep smiling down upon me...
I love you Ammi... (Mother)
