National Cemetery In South Korea(Seoul)
The cemetery was built to mourn fallen Korean soldiers and citizens who died in the Korean Independent Movement(1910-45), Korean War(1950-53), Vietnam War(1955-75).
I'm Japanese student currently studying in Seoul.
In Seoul, I have visited at least two such places that has relation to their overshadowed history such as War, Independent Movement.
One is the cemetery the another is The War Memorial Hall. These two places portrays and offers us good explanation of their hapless history, and it's free.
I've never seen such places in Japan. It's really remarkable policy that the government gives a good opportunity to understand their own history with good qualities.
New generations plays cheerfully on the ground that was protected by their previous generations.
I do recommend you to visit the cemetery for picnic and only hanging out as well as feeling Korea's history.
