I have a student loan that's about 7 years old, and there charging me 7%. I deferred it for a few years but now can only pay the interest, because as a single mom, two kids, and a starting wage of $18 hr. that all I can do.
So it's staying at $19,000.
In the news it's talking of not raising the 3 1/2% interest on Student loans. But I'm at 7, what goes.
I have talked Sallie Mae (the loan managers) and told nothing they can do.
Is there something I can do? Please help. I can't even afford the interest.
