    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     anne226 shot this video of she and her wife explaining their thoughts after North Carolina became the latest state to approve a constitutional amendment defining marriage as solely between a man and a woman. 'I think it will take a federal mandate to make [same-sex] marriage a reality in the United States,' she said. 'I see it happening in 15-20 years.'

    Our family fled from the United States to Canada. We needed to protect our children from the hatred and bigotry that we felt daily in Manchester, New Hampshire. Amendment One has given North Carolina PERMISSION to harm gay and lesbian families DAILY. North Carolina students are going to be TAUGHT amendment one in high school when they learn the NC State Constitution. The gay and lesbian students in high schools will be tormented daily by this intentional hatred of who they are. The gay suicide rate WILL increase in NC because of this. It feels more like NC has given many of their struggling gay and lesbian youth a death sentence. Please read our story. http://2moms2boys.com/wp/?p=5
