Where The Wild Things Are tattoo

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     This iReporter's 'Where The Wild Things Are' tattoo, wrapping around his forearm, depicts the scene in the Maurice Sendak story when Max just became king of the wild things and the wild things are carrying him on their shoulders. He said he was a shy boy, and the book helped him become a leader. 'I really loved this scene in particular because Max was finally accepted as the leader of the wild things.'

He's one of several people who shared their 'Wild Things' tattoos with CNN iReport. Here's another one.
    - dsashin, CNN iReport producer

I got this tattoo because of all the happiness the book Where The Wild Things Are brought me as a child. My Godmother and I have a special bond thanks to Where The Wild Things Are. The book meant so much to me that I got it tattooed on my arm for everyone to see! I still believe deep down that I am Max, ruler of the Wild Things. And now I am able to read this book to my son, Luke, and he too thinks he is Max! Thank you to Maurice Sendak for sharing your imagination with us and allowing kids everywhere to let their imaginations run wild! May your wild rumpus now start! R.I.P.
