    History made special

At Bowling Green High School, if you had Ms. Hayhurst, it became a right of passage for a teen age student. She was a no non sense History Teacher. A person would get immediate feed back from Ms. Hayhurst in those days ( 60's ). She had the class sitting in a circle each of us looking at each other while she stood in the middle. I hated history and the pop quizzes we always endured each semester. But as the class blocks went on, I became memorized by the way she talked about modern life and related the conversation to history. I am now 65 and read as much history as I can because in Ms Hayhurst own way she made history relevant to present time, she put it if you look at history, it always repeats to present time.
