Your most inspirational teacher |
Our Christian Living Teacher
CSFJ (not CSFH- sorry for the typo) - Colegio de San Francisco Javier of Palompon, Leyte, Philippines is my Alma Mater and I have a lot of unforgettable moments in my high school days to live by everyday.
My most inspirational teacher is Sr. Delia Parma, D.C. (Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul). She was a good and an approachable friend, yet clever when it comes to teaching. She has her own rule, "if you cannot provide the answer, you remain standing until the end of the class." I never heard anyone of us disliking the idea. Despite the fact that it had made us nervous at times, she was able to enhance our way of learning.
When she was transferred to serve at another school somewhere in Luzon, we continued corresponding. The distance between us did stop her from telling me how to overcome my difficulties as a college student. She was always there for me when I needed someone to guide me.
I recently found her on the official page of Sta. Isabel College of Manila through the search engine online. It has been a decade since we haven't heard from each other. Thus, she remains very close to my heart. As a matter of fact, all her letters are still well-kept in my room.(Philippines).
