    Whiskey Row Fire in Prescott, AZ

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     DebG1 shot this footage the evening of May 8 of firefighters battling a blaze at Prescott, Arizona's famed "Whiskey Row." 'The Bird Cage Saloon and Pearl's Cafe were a total loss while the Prescott Food Store was mostly a loss (approximately 80% damage) and that many other businesses on Whiskey Row had suffered smoke damage,' she said. 'Many Prescottonians have expressed their sadness to lose this bit of history and found it ironic that we were all across the street on the Courthouse square watching Whiskey Row burn again, just like Prescottonians had done over 100 years ago during the 1900 Whiskey Row fire.'

    http://MakingASceneProductions.com Whiskey Row in Prescott, AZ caught fire again more than 100 years after it was destroyed the first time. On July 14, 1900, this block was totally destroyed by fire. On Tuesday evening, May 8, 2012, fire destroyed several businesses once again, but was not nearly as bad as the 1900 fire.
    Thank you to all the firefighters, police, and other emergency workers who worked so hard to combat the Whiskey Row Fire of 2012!
