    Never A Mongoose Around: Syrian Elections

    Parliamentary elections were held in Syria this week. Pretending to be reform, they were merely a masquerade to strengthen the regime's Baath party. Government workers were ordered to bring family members to the polls and those villages that boycotted the fraud were fired upon, the dead adding to the total of over 9,000 killed who will never get the the chance to vote in a free and fair election.
