Where The Wild Things Are tattoo pictures

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     MattyHorn's 'Where The Wild Things Are' tattoo wraps around his forearm, depicting the scene in the Maurice Sendak story when Max just became king of the wild things. Now 27, he said he was a shy boy, and his Godmother read the story to him often. She still buys him 'Wild Things' collectibles, including a version of the book in Hebrew from a recent trip to Israel. He shot the second photo, filtered on the Instagram app, on Tuesday when he heard of Sendak's passing.

He's one of several people who shared their 'Wild Things' tattoos with CNN iReport. Here's another one.

R.I.P. Maurice Sendak...My childhood was so much better because of your books...My Godmother and I have a special bond thanks to "Where The Wild Things Are". That book meant so much to me that I had a scene from it tattooed on my arm for everyone to see! I still believe deep down that I am Max, ruler of the Wild Things! Now I am able to read your books to my son Luke, and he too now thinks he is Max! Thanks for sharing your imagination with us and allowing kids everywhere to let their imaginations run wild! May your wild rumpus now start...
