    Same Sex Marriage is a Religious Issue not a Political One

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     verichards8 says she does not support same-sex marriage not because she is anti-gay, but because she believes it is a social and religious issue, not a political one. She also adds that Obama's stance on same-sex marriage will be his reelection undoing. 'I think it was an ill advised move on President Obama's part, and I believe it will impact his reelection. I heard people say yesterday that "he shouldn't have gotten involved in that," she says. She says that Obama's stance on same-sex marriage has left her uncertain about who she will be supporting this upcoming presidential election. 'I am confused, I cannot vote for Romney, and I know Obama needs our vote, but he has caused anxiety in the black community,' she says. EWillies1961 posted a response.

    According to the Bible fornicating, committing adultery, and laying with another man as if that man is a woman are all sins and no sin is any worst than another sin.  Same sex marriage is a religious not a political issue. Since gay marriage is a religious and/or social issue it doesn't require a political debate prior to the 2012 presidential election.

    The President can't fall for the Republican’s trap of letting the same sex marriage questions distract from the real issues (economy, justice, foreign policy, leadership ability, etc) and his record during the 2012 presidential election. President Obama should not take a stand on a religious and/or social issue as explosive as same sex marriage before the November 6, 2012, president election because many of our very lives depends on his reelection. Therefore, President Obama needs to have another interview this week and flip flop on his May 9, 2012, position that he and the First Lady supports same sex marriage.
