From Barbie to Bhabhi- Aishwarya's weighty issues.

A diva stays a diva in our minds for as long as she complies to the glamorous image we have of her. And when that image breaks, hell breaks loose in the media.
Case in point, of course, is beauty-queen, style icon and the pinnacle of classy - Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan and her post-pregnancy state of appearance. Alright, she DOESN'T look like the babe we know. She's put on oodles of weight and she's looking like someone stuck two Aishwaryas together.
But that's where we draw the line. It isn't a criticism, it's an observation. Spare her the rod, people! She's a mother now. Her life and care's not just her own, it's also a 6 months old baby's. She's a woman who can lead her life without having to look like what the world wants her to look.
And really, it isn't showing us in great light- when she looked like Barbie, we brayed on because we thought she was fake. When she looks like the mohalle ki bhabhi, we can't face reality. How shallow are we?
Same goes with Sachin Tendulkar and his hair. Yes, believe it or not, it's HIS hair- straight, wavy, curly, braided. How far can we dictate a celebrity's appearance?
Being Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan means being classy, beautiful and so long as she's healthy, those kilos have taken away neither from her!
And in any case, keep in mind, that if she does return to being the Barbie doll she was, no matter when, this blue-eyed beauty can still outshine the best of us!
