Mental illness the last frontier of civil rights
Since the begining of time, the mental ill have been discriminated against. In the Bible people with mental illness were sterotyped as being possessed by demons. In fact, Jesus Christ cast the demons out of a man to go into pigs. Even Jesus Christ saw a person who was mentally ill as a person who needed an exorcism. Great leaders asuch as Vincent Vango, The painter Issac Netwon , the Mathematician, and Howard Hughes the riches man in the world for his time were discriminated upon because of mental illness. After all civil rights battles are fought the last battle remaining wil be the civil rights of the mental ill. Today the American disabilities act sign by President Bush in 1990 has not yert begun to be fought. The issue f Mental illness is on a long line of issues fighting to win civil righs equality.
