I have loved and prayed for President Obama since prior to his election. I am a liberal Christian, but I cannot vote or cheer for him now. I believe that gay people should be treated with respect. There is no degree to sin, and their sin is no greater than someone who doesn't take care of their body. But, it is a sin spelled out plainly in the bible. To give them an avenue for this sin to be "validated" under this kind of statement from the office of president, is wrong. It is just like giving someone a pass to allow someone to steal. I love God and cannot vote against His Word and wisdom, and I cannot now (no matter how much it grieves me) vote for Barack again either. I would be then knowingly commiting sin myself. It is all so very sad. We should never compromise truth and faith for what the popular sinful desires are. That reminds me of Barabas being choosen over Jesus to be set free, by the wishes of the ignorant crowd. Just because something is popular, doesn't make it right.
