The river of Joy
The Loboc River, the river of joy, is one of the cleanest rivers in the country. It is one of the tourist spots you don’t want to miss during your Bohol tours.
When visiting the town of Loboc you can experience cruising along the river on board small a bancas or floating restaurant. You may a considerable amount to enjoy buffet lunch, music and emerald forest.
One boat has numerous tables and a band plays music. Different boats play different styles of music usually a retro or folk songs.
The boat would stop to allow the visitors to experience rondalla dance group housed in a nipa hut along the river.
The floating restaurants were established in 1980s when a businesswoman discovered its potential. Now, floating restaurants are sprouting like mushrooms which are monitored by the local government of Loboc.
