What makes your Mother's Day special? |
I WISH SHE KNEW
My mom, Danila, is currently undergoing a heavy treatment for brest cancer.
We've been fighting about this since last August, and the war is still going on.
She's young, she's just 53.
She's over with her chemo and starting her radiations in a month or so.
In this year's mothers' day, I really wish she knew how important she is for the whole family (dad, sister and I).
I really wish she recovers.
I really wish she knew how to smile again.
I wish she felt strong again.
I wish she could go for walks in the mountain, as she loved to do, and prepare handmade pizzas to cook in our open air oven that dad built in the garden last summer (in the picture).
I wish she went back to her daylong reading and I wish she knew she was the one I want to thank for being the passionate reader and writer that I am.
And I wish she knew that for me, for us all, she is the most beautiful and strongest mom on earth.
This is the only wish for this year's mom's day.
love you, mom.
