    Your questions for Jamie Oliver

    Type one Diabetes

I am wondering if Jamie knows the difference between type one diabetes and type two diabetes, as my 9 year old daughter does as she is type one diabetic. Its very upsetting for her to hear that if she ate healthy that she would not have got her diabetes, we know and she knows that is not the case as TYPE ONE DIABETES IS AN AUTO-IMMUNE DISEASE, and nothing anyone did can stop it, she has always hate very healthy all her live, we are trying to get her to put on more weight as she is very slim, her insulin pump is helping. So does Jamie understand how hurtful it is to her and many other kids with type one diabetes just to say diabetes and not type 2? Many media reports forget to distinguish against the 2 types, leaving many children at risk from bullying from their peers.
