Cornwall As It Should Be: Cold, Rain, Wind

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     infoaddict says Cornwall is a coastal area in the southwest part of the United Kingdom. She describes it as quintessential England. She points out that her photos were captured near the cliff where it is believe the ruins of the legendary King Arthur's castle rests. She says what inspired her to send these images in was the picturesque nature of Cornwall. 'I love Cornwall. My ancestors are from the British Isles,' she says. 'We are an ocean-loving people.'

infoaddict's second image was featured as our Travel Photo of the Day on CNN.com! See it here on our travel section.

    - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

Two weeks ago I packed up a lifetime dream and went to Tintagel, Cornwall site of castle ruins attributed to the legendary King Arthur. The Cornish coast in that area is spectacular. The 1930s classic "Rebecca" was filmed on this coast although the action takes place in France.

My favorite subject was an old church on a promontory near the Tintagel ruins. It is in the ancient square tower Norman parish church style. Here are my rain-filled photos of this remarkable monument to the past.
