City smackdown: Charlotte |
big city life, small town charm
Sorry Tampa, we got this one.
Charlotte, also known as the Queen City, has it all! We can get the best of both worlds - big city life with sweet southern charm.
Uptown Charlotte is one of the cleanest cities you'll see. It's a perfect combination of old and new buildings, art, museums, plus the Carolina Panthers Stadium! The most recent construction of the EpiCentre has brought Charlotte into the spotlight for visitors.
Taken from epicentrenc.com:
"Our restaurants, shops and nightspots are perfectly situated around an open air pavilion offering dramatic views of the Charlotte skyline...
the EpiCentre is in the heart of vibrant uptown Charlotte, just blocks away from prominent businesses and venues such as Bank of America Corporate Center, Time Warner Cable Arena, Charlotte Convention Center and the new NASCAR Hall of Fame and Museum. Best of all, EpiCentre is easily accessible from anywhere, including a convenient stop on the LYNX Blue Line."
Charlotte's metro areas are a quick 20-25 minute drive from Uptown. You can find the Lowe's Motor Speedway, the US National Whitewater Center, Carowinds Theme Park, and McDowell Nature Preserve for hiking and camping.
Charlotte is also surrounded by two beautiful lakes - Norman (NC) and Wylie (SC). They are the host to residential homes, restaurants, regatta races, bass tournaments, 4th of July fireworks and the most magnificent sunsets you can imagine!
We are 3 hours from the beach, 3 hours from the mountains AND we get all 4 seasons.
Last but not least, Charlotte is the home to America's new sweetheart: Emily Maynard, the Bachelorette <3
I mean, really...what can top that?!
When I took this photo today it was sunny and 72 degrees with clear carolina blue skies - perfection.
