Firefighter shot to death by police officer
My brother in law was shot to death by a police officer in Columbus Georgia last september. No charges have been filed and the case is at a standstill. The FBI GBI and columbus ga police did investigations. My brother in law played no roll in the robbery but yet his death was swept under the rug.The police officer said he thought my brother(the firefighter) was involved in a bank robbery so he shot them both in fear of his life. The other guy carjacked my brother in law when he was coming home for lunch to let out his dog. My husband was on the phone at the time. He was dead within minutes while on the phone with his brother and didn't know it until we got the call from the FBI and gbi. I'm submitting this story because as unsaid earlier this was swept under the rug and we have no one to rally for my family's justice. Tony Allen Carr Jr was a career man. He was a veteran of the us airforce as a firefighter and fire inspector. He had called ft benning home when he wasn't over seas which he contracted to several times over the past decade. He was a father of 2 the eldest of 3 a great guy and a hardworker. Please help my family and I gain justice.
