    Living without Facebook?

    More from Maciek1963

    Facebook? Much ado about nothing.

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Maciek1963 says he's able to focus on his family by avoiding Facebook. 'I'm giving the most precious thing - my time,' he says.
    - rachel8, CNN iReport producer

Why I am not on Facebook? Wrongly asked question. Why should I thoughtlessly follow the crowds and join it? It is mainly a matter of fashion.I am an individual, free human being and,as such, live doing something useful and creative in my free time. What are those things? Oh,there are lots of them. Learning, reading books, tavelling, praying, helping people. I cannot find it on Facebook.Or,perhaps it can be found, but I need an easier way. Besides,I prefer real contact and, sorry, you can't have many friends. In lifetime you can meet just few of them. Human being needs silence to hear what's happening inside them -it can't happen while clattering on Facebook. Moreover, what's point of enabling such high earnings for the clever founder? Generally, modern people should avoid such stampedes. Last, but not least - dont forget that joining Facebook you open your private door to intrusive people,it's not only reckless, but also dangerous. Finally,I don't like the name - what does on Earth it mean? Sounds very funny in Polish. Briefly,Facebook? Much ado about nothing!
